What do you all think? The news and contact pages are not yet done, as I am currently coding the PHP for them, but the HTML Pages are done.
I am espescially interested in hearing people who use other browsers other than IE and with an 800x600 screen res. And, most importantly, load times in seconds for each page from 56kers.
Thanks in advance.
Dan.

All the individual images are 2k-7k and there's 25 of them so it takes a while to load all of them.

Yeah, sorry bout the code. Its a mix of photoshop, dreamweaver and Frontpage. I messed it all up making it HTML4.01 Transitional as well.
I am getting someone to clean it all up after I have finished. I dont envy them.

Thanks, glad you like it. When I do a site, I always look for inspiration from the same genre of site. I was pretty stuck for this one seeing the quality out there (or lack of), so I came up with a new unique design.

Yeah, I know, I know. I had to still keep some quality over it unfortunately. I was considering doing a 56k low quality version as well, but I didn't see the point.
It isn't unbearably slow though is it? I mean, it still all loads properly and doesn't take about 1minute?
does its job,
pictures work fine on broadband but on 56k it takes about 5 seconds a fragment of picture.

Indeed, but 90% of users will sod off if it fails to load in 10 secs.

Cue Tyla and his HUGE usability/accessibility speech... Second thoughts, lets not. It's a HUGE problem. ONe other thing, with code that bad, you'll have anight mare getting it to rank high in search engines.

Take a jigsaw, or a slowly unfolding piece of paper with a message on it. The human mind has a huge f---up called curiosity. That 10/15seconds rules only applies to users who dont see the information that they want in that time.
With this site slowly unfolding or jigawing together, it'll keep users waiting for it to load to see the final outcome. Besides, once they have visited it once, its more than instant next time.
