So the Lakers knocked the Spurs out of the Western conference semi finals last night. Ah how sweet it feels to knock out the scum that stopped our quatro attempt last year and in a great fashion to do it in as well coming from 2-0 down to win the series 4-2.

Special mention must go to Derek Fisher who's game winning shot in game 5 with just 0.4 seconds left on the clock surely won the series for us. Had flashbacks of Horry in game 6 against the Sacramento Queens a couple years back :-D

Probably have the T-Wolves in the final though i would prefer the Queens after we've demolished them this season and also just for the sheer smugness it would bring. But with the 4 headed monster of big diesel, Kobe, the mailman and the glove they can bring anyone on and we'll beat them.

Let the dynasty begin.........again.

Alley oops are always good if you can pull them off. Back at my old school they were pretty easy to do seeing as the floor got relayed back when i was in year 9 but they didn't raise the baskets to compensate so they were only 9 foot off the ground, so the following year i was able to start dunking and eventually by sixth form i could throw it down with efficiency whenever a person on my team chucked the rock up there

Speaking of B-Ball, I sunk a sweet alley-oop in a match on Thursday. Was pretty pleased with that.

Don't know what game you went to but the ones i've been at the only time we jumped up and cheered is after a dunk, alley oop or equally exciting play. The rest of the time is looking for the bloody guy with the hot dogs and then trying to get his attention

Slamball's funny.

Never been to an NBA game. Would like to though. Atmosphere looks good. But they seem to jump up and cheer after every point scored.

So that's like jumping up and cheering at a football match, and your team only score like twice, (or not at all in Lil bro's case), so it must be pretty knackering celebrating each basket in an 84-67 match?

I never get the chance to watch basketball as it's always on Sky Sports Xtra. Oh well, soon my chance will come.

Yea i'd say he's probably the best player after Kobe in the league at the moment. Wouldn't mind seeing him in Lakers colours, him and Kobe in the back court would be devastating.

and nothing's happened to the Lakers dream team yet, well apart from dumping the reigning champs out of contention :-D

What's happened to the Lakers 'dream team', then?

I don't know why I like the Pistons. I think it might have been years ago, when me and mates were playing NBA Pro 99 for the N64, and I just chose them for no reason, and stuck with them. Maybe.

I used to go Orlando Magic a bit as well. Tracey McGrady (sp?) rocks. :-D

Hehe kind of ironic you have that username and support the Pistons as well. Ben Wallace all the way :-D (well until the finals when we crush whatever poor Eastern team we face)

and not that it has anything to do with the actual topic Gumpy but i'm living in England
