The problem Nintendo face when changing their image though is the younger gamer. The way Nintendo are viewed by parents are the Disney of computer games and that the system is safe for their kids to play on. Now if Nintendo alter their image to suit older gamers then they may lose the younger market.
Nintendo need to find a way to aim at both markets and discouraging neither of them. Simply making adult games doesn’t seem to work especially after the uproar created by the release of Conker. So what can Nintendo do? They could try advertising childish games during childish shows etc… and adult games during adult programs but then parents might be discouraged.
So what can Nintendo do? They are releasing adult games on the Gamecube such as Too Human, Eternal Darkness, Turok 4, After Dark, Conker’s other bad day, Resident evil 0 and 4 and possibly Shadowman 2econd coming. Nintendo have a difficult job to do but what do you think they need to do?
Here’s to the future
