Nope, this thread will be far superior to Borat's. Oh yes it will. :)
You see, there are songs out there that can have good lyrics, but in there will be this one line that's just utterly fantastic.
So here's the deal. What is a favourite lyric of yours, and why? And who by/what song, of course.
To get that good ol' metaphorical ball a'rollin', here's a favourite of my own.
Mama, just killed a man,
Put a gun against his head,
Pulled my trigger,now he's dead
It's the simplicity of it that I love. "Pulled my trigger, now he's dead" is just class.
And surely I don't need to put what song.
[S][S]Bohemian Rhapsody, for those who don't know. Shame on you.[/S][/S]
So, gogogo.
From Knock Me Down by the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
I suppose I like this particular line because I feel I can, and have, been able to relate to it within the recent years of my life.
Feeling like something was missing. Not quite sure on where to go next, or where I am heading now. Without a firm descision on the one-thing I want to do with my life. Feeling like I'm beginning to forget a little...
Thankfuly, though, that's all over with now. :)
The feeling still drifts by occasionaly now, but at least I have a direction I know I am happy to sail in.
Joe's Head - Kings of Leon.

Shame she went and got nice and happy, it was refreshing to have a woman stand up and say " you fu**ed me over " so unappologeticly.
Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
GUITAR!
I believe in a thing called love - The Darkness

Yep, alanis morissette is genius.
"Now it's just another show
You leave you them laughing when you go
And if you care dont let them know
Dont give yourself away"
Before you go and
Leave this town
I want to see you one more time
Put your dirty angel face
Between my legs
And knicker lace
Quite a huge turn-on, actually..
Alanis - You Learn
I recommend walking around naked in your living room
Swallow it down (what a jagged little pill)
It feels so good (swimming in your stomach)
Wait until the dust settles.
Holds a lot of memories of playing around in the bathroom one day.. I also recommend walking around naked in your living-room.. :)
Our Lady Peace - Car Crash
car crash
ending your day
at the side of the road
are you trembling
they'll wake up today
to the papers that say
oh well it was too hard to tell
he was swerving they were swerving
much too late
Just plain true.. mostly. Creepy song.
The Beatles - "number 9, number 9 number 9, number 9 number 9, number 9 number 9, number 9 number 9, number 9 number 9, number 9 number 9, number 9 number 9, number 9 number 9, number 9 number 9, number 9" (Revolution 9)
Radiohead - "Transport, motorways and tramlines, starting and then stopping, taking off and landing, the emptiest of feelings, disappointed people, clinging on to bottles, and when it comes it's so, so, disappointing." (Let Down)
"Doctor said i had blood clots, but i aint Jamaican man"
Radiohead - High And Dry
Sums up the world for me. Everyone is trying so hard to be special and get noticed, that they don't focus on what actually makes them happy. Quite sad really.
