Ebay's fine for selling and buying some stuff, but for games/CDs/Books etc, it's Amazon Marketplace for me.

ebay and paypal are hand in hand . posting a check is for gimps, 3 days to get there 2 days before they can be arsed to put the cheque in the bank, 3 days to clear. a weekend in the mixer couple of days delivery.

paypal you often get the item next day.

never had a prob on ebay it rules

I hate it when they charge a ridiculous amount for P&P such as £2.50+ for a DVD when you know they'll only spend 35p on the packaging and 35p to send it 2nd class delivery.

Isnt it business users who pass on the Paypal fees to the bidder and not a normal user who just sells the odd item. Ebay probably arent happy that a lot of people are being charged for postage and packaging, then a 20p Paypal fee, then an additional percentage of the total. Atleast these new rules will make it more clear for ebay users so they know exactly what they're paying for.

So easy. They deal with the money for you - advertising the product is easier, because you just advertise under an Amazon product.

My advice, don't start ebay - cause when you've started it hard to stop! Worse than smoking i reckon, i've spent a fortune on it so far. Fairly safe though, use paypal -if ya get screwed, can clain back as credit card fraud!

Yes, you can use your mums credit card to buy on Ebay but if you're using your own name and details, (even if you lie about you age) you'll be well and truely b*ggered if someone cons you.

From the 6th of June sellers will not be allowed to charge extra in order to recieve paypal payments or charge rediculous postage. Therefore, no more fees.
