I've just uploaded all the HTML files in my website which all have the extension '.shtml' because I use Server Side Includes to add common content (i.e. the links menu) but they've stopped working - what I mean is the files I've set to be included aren't being included. If you view the source you'll clearly see the code like ...

... which should by rights be replaced with the content of the file 'header.shtml'.

They were working immediately before I uploaded the HTML files which I did because I'd made a global Search & Replace change in all of them.

Can anyone shed any light on what's gone on, please?

I've copied your 2 files to my own site and I get "error processing ssi file". I've never really used ssi so it could just be my server.

I'll have another go.

I've tried Safari, IE and FireFox - all with the same result.

Creepy got the same as me as did my mate Alex, who works at Bentley.

It doesn't view in IE either (the SSI bits), and I would try with Firefox, but it's stopped working again.

Got it ... 3 times! Cheers.

Looking at the screenshot I can see it's not how it should be. It's a real pain it's done this because I'd just done a nice redesign (again ...) and was quite proud of it - it was very green ...

Nah. In 'header.shtml' there's a
and further down a
and both of these are closed in 'footer.shtml' - the 'main_content' one at the start of the file and 'container' at then end.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
