Right, People, I need your honest opinion and help on some matters that have arose over the past few days. A few mates of mine want to start a band and they want a drummer, They have 2 guitarists, one bassist and 3 vocalists at the moment.

They asked me if I wanted to be the drummer. Except I don't know how to play the drums, but i'd just love to be in a band. You reckon it's worth investing my time and money into learning the instrument? Yes I know it isn't going to be easy, but the prospect of jamming with a few mates is quite exciting.

I currently play the guitar, but I seriously wouldn't mind having the knowledge of drum playing and it'd be cool to just let yourself go wild on them.

So anyway, I'm wondering if any drummers out there could share their experiances of playing, and I'd be extremely grateful if anyone could reccomend me any good "beginners" drum kits, that are within a reasonable price range.

Thanks.

Yeh, drummers are hard to come by. I reckon you should learn the drums gamezfreak, if you have the money to invest in a kit.

I know a drummer. I would start up a band with him but he doesn't have long hair. True story. Most of it.

If you can afford to buy a kit its probably worth it. And it doesnt matter if your not good to start with. My bands drummer has only had his kit for a month or so and we get by (just). Drummers are really hard to come by too so you will become mr popular amongst other bands.
