I've gotta write one for my national record of acheivmenty thingy.

Think is, I don't know how long it has to be. I've got a personal statement for my CV but I think this one needs to be longer and don't really know what to say in great detail.

Could someone who's written one before give me some details of length and what to include (roughly)

thanks.

For NROA?

I did one for uni. About a page long. Education, interests, interest in subject (i.e why? etc), hopes for future etc. Self-praise subtly wound into a load of utter bulls*it.

And only immature-minded "grow-ups" like yourself use inevitable responses like that (well, I was waiting for someone to say it).

Well, that "quote" does work bothways.

And, since you smile backwards, I'm gonna assume you're wrong:

"It's not the size that counts, it's what you do with it."

I dunno about that. It isn't what you do with it - it's the size that counts, to quote the Arrogant Worms. ( ;

I don't think the length's really that important with these.

All you really got to do is focus on getting-down what you need to get-down on paper. Your good points; your experience; your key interests; what you might like to do with your academic life...

Then, once you've got it all down, if it spills over the edges of an A4 piece of paper or just leaves too little room for anything else, then it is time for you to go back through and "trim the fat", as some say.

They're not that had to write, unless you really do have nothing to write-about. :)
