I work part time in a bicycle shop, assembling and repairing such items, and most of my day envolves trying not to work.

Today my distraction came from a newspaper, the Daily Mail, unfortunately enough. However, I started work on the back page crossword and soon enough I had the entire staff around the counter pondering over the answers.

It was whittled down to two clues that we couldn't solve. Firstly, 7 Across - 'Biblical Priest (3)' and 1 Down - 'Demonic (8)'

I couldn't for the life of me think what they were, which was perhaps less do to with fractured links in my brain, but more to do with my rather shameful lack of knowledge.

So, I curse, I curse the paper and cast it aside, blaring madly at the damn thing for having words that I can't think of, when, FROM NOWHERE, the door swings wide open... and in walks a giant vicar, dressed in full garment and wearing a bright white coat to match his white hair and stubble, that made him almost shine in the light.

Praise the Lord! I quickly encouraged his services, and immedietely pointed out that a Biblical Priest was an Eli, and helped us work out that Demonic was Fiendish.

If any more proof is needed to why God obviously made us in his image, then let me be stuck down by reasonable thought. Shudder.

Don't know if this joke has already been posted...

A vicar walks into a bike shop and the Muslim owner asks him: "What do you want, agent of the Devil?" and the vicar blows him away. BOOM! BOOM!

Heh. It proves one of two things:
Either there is a god, or the Catholic church have us all bugged, waiting for a chance to pull off a hokey 'miracle'
