Gamers far and wide have their own conception on what is the best console availiable is,wheather it be the Dreamcast,PSX,or even go back to the time when Amiga ruled the games community(that is looooooooong time ago.Heaven can be any gaming dream, wheather the thought of living in miracle world with Alex Kidd,or living in our world, with foot and mouth and bad food.

Your heaven copuld be a contrast of some finely tuned men /women playing on Shenmue or Metal Gear solid 2.Hell,playing on a 32X with some of the lamest games ever.Ot is your call.

For those old school gamers out there, slapping on the commodore 64 and playing such classsic title like the footy manerger game.GOAL,and having a cool beer right by your side, that could be heaven for some people.

Personally my heaven would be living in the shenmue world and taking control of RYO,but to change it i would add some hot women in there to serve me instead of that Hotdog guy,I would add some action into the frame with a socom gun out of metal gear solid and blast some people away, then i would return to the real world and enter gameaday.

Whatever your heaven or hell is,as long as it satifys your erges as a games player, then you should not worry about the future,Just think of a game you really love and play it.Nuff said,in fact that is great advice im gonna play and complete shenmue again. What a game.Who needs hell when you can have your console smiling atyou waiting for the on button to be pressed.

The first game was a 3D incarnation of many platform puzzle games from the 16bit days. I've only played the demo but I liked it's blend of platforming, exploring, puzzle solving and action.

It was it's sequels that changed a winning formula apparently (I don't know, I haven't actually played on them) and tried to make them too action based.

I really don't want the Tomb Raider movie to flop, for the simple reason that Chris Barrie is in it.

Tomb Raider was genre defining, hence all the fast selling clones and movie spin offs that have been produced since.

And just think how popular they'll be AFTER the movie has hit the movie screens this summer?

Not all the TR games were good, TR2 was a really bad example of a sequel because it offered nothing new in terms of gameplay, but overall, if you liked the gameplay in the first game, you'd still enjoy any of the other ones in the series.

Personally, whilst the TR series is not the greatest to be released on the PSX, it's still good fun and great gameplay, but it's down to individuals what they like and dislike in terms of gameplay, we're all different in that respect.

Ok then. A gamecube connected to a big screen with surround sound. 3 friends of mine, each controlling a quarter of the screen.

It's an online game made by Capcom that's been released on all formats where myself and the rest of the Nintendo team (Edgy, Grix, Game and Sniper who for once in his life isn't dying every second) blowing away the PS2 scum (bad luck Ant and Wookie, you don't match our super - gaming skills :-)) the Xbox adopters (sorry FM, we'll be crushing you too) and the PC gamers (that's right Sheepy! You'll slaughtered even if you don't get foot and mouth!).

Hang on, that's not gaming heaven, that's the gaming future!

(Now I'll take cover before angry replies start appearing...)

The forum will be that little more interesting after that...
