I once caught a wild routing loop, but I let it go because the NSPRL got onto me.

Ok, when you normally send a packet it leaves you and ends up at another computer, or, it leaves you and cant connect to the other computer so the packet gets lost. But in this case the packet is being re-routed 6 times (effectively being bounced around and around) and then timing out.
