Duh it's darker. I doubt time travel. And sure there's lots of animals in it, but there's nothing to make you suspect that you can control them.
I wonder if the giant in the game will have the same dodgy looking bellybutton :S
It's got ivy fingers, and too long arms and legs.
The giant looks like Treebeard.
Link gets wrapped up in spider web like Frodo does with Shelob.
The ghosty people look extremely like the army of the dead.
The baddies are riding Wargs in the horseback combat sequences.

But really, you can tell. Even that bit with the shimmery sunset in the first trailer, when you see the army emerge over the hilltop. That was so LOTR.
