I recently got an email newsletter from IGN.com that had an interesting article about the new Zelda trailer, and what they found when they looked at it up close. I can remember the main points about what it revealed but if someone can find a link to the page that would be better.

The main points are that the game could involve Time Travel, animal morphing and or animal manipulation, and a much darker atmosphere due to constant Skeletons and ghosts appearing in the new trailer.

We kinda analysed it to death when it came out.
Duh it's darker. I doubt time travel. And sure there's lots of animals in it, but there's nothing to make you suspect that you can control them.

I liked the Doshin-like giant.

I wonder if the giant in the game will have the same dodgy looking bellybutton :S

I assumed it was just a lanky Goron.

Could be.. but it looked completely different. All thin like Treebeard but not tree-like.

Oh no, it really isn't a Goron.
It's got ivy fingers, and too long arms and legs.

In the trailer:

The giant looks like Treebeard.
Link gets wrapped up in spider web like Frodo does with Shelob.
The ghosty people look extremely like the army of the dead.
The baddies are riding Wargs in the horseback combat sequences.

If you've never read/watched Lord of the Rings you don't know what I'm on about, but still.

A Doshin-Zelda game crossover would be good.

It's not like there's anything else Doshin can do, so he may as well make a living off stupid cameo appearences. Like Celebrity Big Brother and things for wash-ups and loners.

It is going to be LOTR.
What was that subtitle? Gates of the Realm (GOTR)

omg!1

But really, you can tell. Even that bit with the shimmery sunset in the first trailer, when you see the army emerge over the hilltop. That was so LOTR.

Not that I care.

I think he's got work later this century.
When the pensions crisis becomes too much, they're just going to hire him to lob the elderly into France.
