Damn.

Not by anything remotely as hilarious as the male genitalia but by a speed camera on the off sliproad of the M621.

I actually think that speed cameras do some good and used to think that putting a camera on the sliproad was silly. Now I'm not too sure. Okay, I wasn't concentrating and shouldn't have been speeding but I wasn't going that fast. It's just, where it is positioned, if you don't hit you're brakes immediately you're in trouble.

Sigh. I'm hoping it was a reflection from the sun but I have a sinking feeling that it wasn't :(

I guess a small consolation is that it will be wiped off your records in 3 years time. It was 3 years since I got mine in March so they should be gone by now.

Its all about your tyres. The speedometer in a car will work off you gear box, and how many times your wheel spins.

However, it doesnt take into account the size of your tyre. Therefore, the bigger your tyre the faster you are actually going, thats where you get this debatable leway from...

And just to clear it up, every speed camera has a different threshold. Some around me won't flash you until you hit 38mph (it was in the paper) while others will still take you out at 35mph.

No cameras will flash you if you're doing a few miles over, but they actual limit varies.

Dad just called in to work to see me and while it was nice to see him - he'd brought me a letter that was sent to his house.

someone crashed not far from my house, he was slamming on because of a speed camera.

he lost control of his car and hit a bloke and his wife who were out for a stroll. his wife had minor injuries, but the blokes legs were shattered.
