Well as the title suggests I was watching Star Trek when line made me go "Eh?".
Chakota (sp?) - It reflects everything we fire at it!...How about a photon torpedo?
Errr isn't that another kind of weapon that would be fired. One that would just be reflected. Buh. So stupid. There probably is an explanation and it's just the wording that is annoying me but still. How much were those writers paid? How about you, have you ever watched a film/T.V. show and just thought "Eh?"

If they hadn't tried firing it at it then he shouldn't have said everything fired at it would be reflected. It's just the wording that is annoying I guess. Ohwell.
There's a general order they seem to do things:
Fire Phasers.
If that doesn't work - Photon Torpedoes (or in extreme cases Quantum Torpedoes)
I would imagine the logic behind it is that the phaser is a beam of energy, so that could be reflected, like light.
However torpedoes are solid objects and shouldn't be reflected (they even have onboard guidance computers)

Mabye they hadn't tried firing the torpedo at it yet.
