There is someone i been speaking on the internet now for 2 years. He had a girlfriend of 5 years but broke up with her about a year ago. He is now going out with someone he met on the internet. She is 15, he is 29!! They have slept together and she told me that he stays at hers a lot and she stays at his at the weekends.

What are your opinions on this. Would you let your 15 year old daughter sleep round her 29 year old boyfriends house?

I have 2 16 year old (at the time) friends at school, who would begin each history lesson by walking in and shouting a number at the other - that number being the age of the guy they pulled at the weekend, highest number wins.

*shrugs*

I can't explain why. It seemed a bit odd at first, especially when my particularly good friend got in to a steady relationship with a 28 year old, but the guy himself was very nice, the brother of a mate of hers, and they were all fine with it. I think this reflects that society's attitude is changing in many ways, or maybe it's just the Essex effect.

Taking a slightly different approach, where does it blur the line though?

Other than the legal question, is it worse for a 15 year old to be going out with a 29 year old than for, say, a 30 year old going out with a 44 year old? Perhaps it's something that has been socially forced on us over the years and we've come to accept it?

Its all very complicated and shrouded with mystery. All I can say is that I think its rather wrong, but I suppose if it happens to you and you fall in love or something the opinions might change.

My mate who is 17 is going out with a 34 year old. He is best friends with her mum's boyfriend!!

It's illegal because he sleeps with her it would count as statutory rape!

I suppose it isn't as bad as the 16 year old sleeping with the 45 year old. LOL! But yeah it still is a bit sick.
