It's cool even if it is a complete rip off of everything else.

Yeah, but then your opponent comes along dishing out the dispel magic and before you know it his hero has went up by 2 levels.

Hmm, i dont like playing the normal game now.
I will still play it. Grudgingly.
I always kicked butt with my foot soldier/dwarf groups, but then I moved to using undead.
I remember once in a game 3v3 game we got absolutely whooped. I was the undead and the last on my team against all three of theirs, and I had a LOT of towers and necromancers in my base.
They threw everything they had at me; I forget what map it was but my base entrance was basically a bottle neck. They got hammered, absolutely hammered, I couldn't believe it. Every time they lost a guy, he got back up as a skeleton and worked for me, and since I had at least a dozen towers near the entrance, all long the bottle neck, there were a lot of skeletons. And I had meatwagons in the back hurling corpses at them.
Of course, I didn't have any income coming in, so I couldn't build new units or even fully repair my towers. They had all the mines so built up another army and came back and crushed me. Blighters... still, it was a sight to behold, one guy holding out against three full armies.
I was amazing at Warcraft 2... hmmm I can't get started fast enough.
The last one was bad luck, the guy only had his hero and found my base straight away, killed my only two guys and my farms so I behind from then onwards.
So like, lets do stuff...
