The "General Games Chat" forum, which includes Retro Game Reviews, has been archived and is now read-only. You cannot post here or create a new thread or review on this forum.
So, I would just like perhaps like to start another one. Post your arguments on here about why you think your chosen console or consoles, will win the console wars.
I'll post mine later, so get arguing!
Thanks for reading, Ant.

No, don't bother, just praise me :-D
I hope they are all great because it is better for all of us who own them.
Look Metal Gear Solid is a great game it provided me with 8 hours of immense fun, however after that it was history.
In contrast Goldeneye has provided me and my friends with years of fun filled Bond action. Ild take Goldeneye over MetalGearSolid anyday.
(For those of you who didn't see the smiley face - I'M JOKING!)
As for the classic N64 vs PS argument, I'd say that PS has a slight edge in one player but is miles behind the N64 in muliplayer.
So if you have brothers to play against then the N64 is far better then the playstation.
Although without the multiplayer, Playstation's wide range of huge adventure games out match (even if only by quantity rather then quality) the N64's bunch of 1 player.
Then there's the DC which has a lovely balance of both.

Humm, well I'd have MGS instead of Goldeneye anyday.
Also, Smackdown 2 is a rather huge laugh on 4-player.

It's not possible for one console to win. And equally there's no no bad taste or good taste. If somene chose a PS2 instead of a GameCube it doesn't mean that they have bad taste, becuase there is NO SUCH THING as bad taste. Just different taste.
That's all I've got to say on this matter... for now anyway...
