So hey people, a thread about B&W2, seeing as it’s coming out soon and all that. The 7th of October apparently.

I know what most of us are thinking, namely that will they have fixed the massive problems that went with the original Black and White. I mean, I myself could never actually get past the 3rd island, you know, the rubbish one where your creature was taken away from you for no good reason, and you had to resort to lobbing stones at the nearby town in order to gain influence.

And the constant barrage of “We need more wood!” “We need more houses!” I’ll tell you what you need, alright mates? You need a good kick in the face.

But apparently they’ve fixed quite a lot of hat horrible stuff for the new one, plus the graphics are brilliant now. Oh, and your creature can get fat and hunch over and just groan at you, brilliant!

Yes mister Nash, I do recall that gash level where lobbing stones was the order of the day, in between callously murdering your whinging citizens. Great idea it was, and I enjoyed showing friends the 'go anywhere, do anything' gameplay whenever they were unlucky enough to visit me.

This new'en looks fair to middlin. Crackin graphics but I'll wait for the reviews before clicking 'Confirm Order', thanyouverymuh.

As far as rts style god games go, I want to finish Zero Hour, then maybe start on Act of War, or Dawn of War.

If they haven't vastly improved every aspect of B&W, it'll fall flat on its ass.

A review from IGN now, 8.8 score. http://pc.ign.com/articles/654/654547p1.html

"At the most immediate level, your believers will actually call out what they need when they need it. If they're running short of food, for instance, someone will take the time to tell you"

Arrrrgggh! I don't believe it, they kept that in. That was probably the thing that annnoyed me the most about the original game. Raarr! Only he makes out it's a good thing, which casts doubt on the 8.8 score.

I still think I'll get it though.

Looks like it could be what the first game should have been, and the creatures actually look dangerous this time. I'll have to check out the demo some time.
