So hey people, a thread about B&W2, seeing as it’s coming out soon and all that. The 7th of October apparently.

I know what most of us are thinking, namely that will they have fixed the massive problems that went with the original Black and White. I mean, I myself could never actually get past the 3rd island, you know, the rubbish one where your creature was taken away from you for no good reason, and you had to resort to lobbing stones at the nearby town in order to gain influence.

And the constant barrage of “We need more wood!” “We need more houses!” I’ll tell you what you need, alright mates? You need a good kick in the face.

But apparently they’ve fixed quite a lot of hat horrible stuff for the new one, plus the graphics are brilliant now. Oh, and your creature can get fat and hunch over and just groan at you, brilliant!

The expansion is expected to have the multiplayer in, after playing it a bit more i can see why they didn't include it, with all the gameplay changes i can't see what they would keep and what they would get rid of to make the multiplayer work and still be BAW2.

Wouldn't be surprised if they released a new version with a multiplayer mode just to eek more cash out of people.

Thats your CPU holding you back i think. I haven't tried everything on lowest yet but i think i get 10-15 FPS on high when zoomed out, and 15-20 zoomed in. I don't think my FPS would improve on lowest as the CPU can't do any more work, i'm having a similar problem on DOD:S and thats why i am planning this upgrade.

i think BAW2 is one of those games were the FPS arn't too important as long as it doesn't go under 10, as i haven't ever had skipping or laggy play. although i don't get armies i only build huge cities.

For some reason it runs really crap on my system, even though WoW with everything on high gets 50 fps, everything on the lowest settings in black and white 2 is gives me about 15-25 fps.

3000+
6800 unlocked to 16 pipes.
1 gig ram.

I don't get it to be honest, but looking at some of the forums it seems other people have been having the same problem, with one guy reporting that his 3500+ with an 6800GT was getting the same poor fps.

Argh! I still play it though, and I like it.

Hey cads, I just got my new PC running, so look foward to some screenshots of Nash's tiger pretty soon.

Anyway, in the meantime let me tell you a little story.

One day, Nash's creature walks up to a villager's house and thinks "should I crap on that villager's house?". I slap him into a bloody slumber to tell him a firm no, however in his terror, he craps a couple out anyway.

Have a nice night.

My one plays with a giant teddy and pats villagers on the head, i think evil ones put the villangers on punishment spikes, has a voodoo doll and eats them.
