So hey people, a thread about B&W2, seeing as it’s coming out soon and all that. The 7th of October apparently.

I know what most of us are thinking, namely that will they have fixed the massive problems that went with the original Black and White. I mean, I myself could never actually get past the 3rd island, you know, the rubbish one where your creature was taken away from you for no good reason, and you had to resort to lobbing stones at the nearby town in order to gain influence.

And the constant barrage of “We need more wood!” “We need more houses!” I’ll tell you what you need, alright mates? You need a good kick in the face.

But apparently they’ve fixed quite a lot of hat horrible stuff for the new one, plus the graphics are brilliant now. Oh, and your creature can get fat and hunch over and just groan at you, brilliant!

Anyone got this yet? I heard from a guy on another forum at some shops in Ireland have it on shelves.

I'll be looking to get a dvd version as some muppet made a 4 disk version.

New Nvidia drivers are out kids, suppose to sort out some graphical issues in Black and White 2.

I expect it'll be good. There's always short-comings with all games, but that's why we patch things!

My PC isn't the best, but if it runs as well as HL2, then i'll be happy.

I'm weighing up whether or not to get a 360 or a new PC, both have some exciting prospects, but Black and White 2, FEAR and Empire at War might just swing it.

From what I've heard, it's town micro management, when in realty, you wanna get tasty with the beast.

Although to be fair 76% should mean it's still good. I expect they were only focusing on the bad features so that they didn't fall into the trap of getting all excited and moist at it all and giving it a great score, only to regret it later on.

No less than 76% though please.

Don't build your hopes up. This months PCGamer gave it a less than glowing review (though a 76% score, which I suspect has more to do with the creature than anything else) they highlight allot of problems with the game including pointless base building, dull combat and rubbish AI. Even some crappy levels, one of which will see your entire civilisation turned to ruins by an earthquake, forcing you to start from scratch.

I might give it a look when it's on budget.

The coolest ISP ever!
In my opinion, the ISP is the best I have ever used. They guarantee 'first time connection - everytime', which they have never let me down on.
Brilliant service.
