Opinions of this album, anyone?

As expected, I don't think it's as good as the first album. I'm not saying it's a bad album (it's better than most things out there) it's just Deloused was such a difficult CD to better.

If your planning to buy Frances then don't expect it to be the same as Deloused. They've made that album already, there's no point in doing it again. Instead it's a much darker, more sinister album with all the things you love from The Mars Volta. There's some truly fantastic songs and some catchy Spanish lyrics mixed in to spice things up a bit more.

The more I listed to it, the more I love it (as with Deloused).

Multiple Spouse Wounds and Sarcophagi are both 1337.
So they make them both as short as humanly possible? rargh

Well, Multiple..... is really the start of Cassandra Gemini anyway..or Tarantism I if you will.

I can't help it. No matter if there are bits which aren't as good as DITC, the whole of Vismun Cygnus Vismund, the funky Latin L'Via, the simply insanse Cassandra Gemini.............

Incredible.

I'm sure I'd be the same.
It's just that, like I said, I don't much care for the intonation of the Spanish language.

As a whole, the albums are better than the sum of their parts.

Hmmm - as Your Honour found, just getting a single track of theirs is a little confusing and not much - as the end is crazy and leads into L'Via Viaquez. So.
