Watched the special edition last night, with the added 27 minutes or whatever it is.
It's a great film, but I have to wonder if the producer had paedophilic tendancies. Candle lit dinners with 12 year old girls, she tells Leon she loves him and wants to have his kids. He watches her trying on dresses and frolics with her in the bedroom.
I suppose really I'm just concerned about such things because our paranoid, overly politically correct suspicious world sees evil in everything these days.
Great film though, Gary Oldman is excellent in it.

I usually much prefer the directors cuts. after all - that's the version the producers originally intended, without chopping bits off to fit in with stupid guidelines.

I'm not too keen on special editions/director's cuts - the stuff was cut out for a reason, putting it back in is a waste of time. The only half decent director's cut is Aliens, and that's only because of the added sentry guns, the rest is pointless.

For example, America banning The Beatles. Oooo what rebels they were!!! I believe they also banned 'Of Mice and Men' because it show that the american dream is infact total bullsh*t.
