You know it was comming, probably the most anticipated game this year ,had to be in the list. With solid snake going on his next mission stopping the evil metal gear weapon. With its flash graphics and superb gameplay making this a sheer classic in the making.
Headhunter-dreamcast
This in my eyes is the most underrated game coming out this year, it takes the idea that you are a bounty hunter and have to retrieve some stuff. cool. With some ..well(some of the best graphics i have seen) this is on the top of my list on the DC chart bar a couple of other games, which i will talk about later.
gran turismo 3-ps2
The cream of all racing games has got the 128 bit treatment and with loads of tracks and cars. The graphics are some of the best features in this epic sequel where i found the game very realistic indeed. The best racing game ever? Its looking that way. pedal? Meet metal.

One of the all time greats has returned on the gameboy advanced .In this 3 D racer you have the task to race around cool castles and forest tracks. The graphics are superb. .and the real beauty is that it is in the palm of your hand .A definite hit come summer.

Only, it's spelt like that.
Basically, the only games really worth getting on the N64 have been Banjo Tooie and Conkers Bad Fur Day (I'm not sure how good they are having not played either of them.)
I have got Pokemon Gold but I got an American version back in 2000 so that can't really count as a 2001 game.
Personally I think the N64 is a bit past it now. From Christmas 1999 to Christmas 2000 we had the likes of Jet Force Gemini, Perfect Dark, Zelda Majora's Mask and a several other games that were brilliant if not in the same class as these.
So where does that leave me this year. Well I'll be playing OLD games ofcourse. And once I get fed up with N64 games I'll go down to the shops and find a cheap and "obselete" Dreamcast and play on it's "old obselete" games that I'll get for a hopefully low price.
That should last a year before I need to renew my SR membership to buy a Gamecube...
This classic arcade racer comes to life thanks to the dreamcast. It has all the old fun and class as the arcade plus all the extras thanks to the DC. the graphics are super sharp and detailed and the gameplay is unbeatable. Daytona on the dreamcast will be racing fans heaven.
final fantasy 10-Playstation 2
This great RPG gets the 128 bit treatment and the graphics look the best i have seen, the spells are back, the hours of gameplay are back, this can only be Final Fantasy. And it will sell by the millions in every country known to man.
