I am on a router. I downloaded a 400MB file on a computer without a CD-RW and I tried to send it to computer #2 via MSN, but it said "could not send file."

Question 1: How do I fix this?
Question 2: Is there a way to send without using MSN that I don't know about?

Cheers.

Well, one computer is Windows 98 and the other XP. On the 98 one, I made the Shared folder My Documents. I dumped the file in there but I'm having trouble loading it on the XP one :\

Use the XP network setup wizard, it will set up a home network for you.

Then in your startmenu you should see a thing called "My Network Places", just shove the file in the "shared docs" folder, go on your other comp and just grab it.

We never made a shared folder. Any idea where it would be?

Surely if there's a router, then the 2 computers are linked together somehow?

Can you just put the file into your scared folder (if you're using XP) and download it from the other PC?
