And i'm rather nervous. I play the drums if you didn't know, and i play in a band, who are going to play our first gig tonight. Should be fun but damn scary playing infront of all those people while also trying to get it right. I can't imagine me getting it all right, no because that's what i want, i'll probably screw up incredibly bad. Need some new drum sticks first though, my current ones are chewed up, and it looks like they will snap at any moment.

But for now i'll just go over here, lay down, and stare at the cieling for the next 7 hours.

Or perhaps i'll just play some games.

Yeah, that happens to me a few times. I normally bring the ride sort of around so that's almost behind me, if you know what I mean. Like, to my immediate right.

And i did make a few mistakes. Minor mainly though such as hitting the ride cymbal instead of the floor tom (i never realised how close the ride was to me :P). Although the last bands drummer dropped a stick... Twice. Heh. Meh.

Improvising to cover up a mistake is a part of playing any instrument.

The great thing about the drums is, is that if you make a minor mistake midway during full accompaniment, and if you're remotely good, you can just quickly improvise, and carry it off as if you meant to do that - off beat rhythm and so forth.

It WAS at 7:30, although the first band didn't start till 8:00 and when i first saw the guitarist i thought, "F***, they've put some heavy metal band on with us" but it wasn't, and was damn good aswell(http://www.thekillerstack.co.uk). Then we were on at 9. My nerves were actually gone by this point and we played rather well, and the sound guy recorded all the bands, so when i get a copy of the CD, ill show you one of our songs, then the last band came on... Yes, I think i'll keep it at that.

I'm just getting started playing drums myself.

What a pointless remark.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
