Five teenagers have finished college and to celebrate the group take a break in a cabin in the woods. All goes well until they meet a hermit who has contracted a disease and ends up destroying their truck as well as infecting their water supply. From then on each member of the group becomes infected with the disease causing arguments and fights between the friends. Throw in a weird, party-animal cop and a savage dog you have the holiday break from hell.
The characters are all very stereotypical, but that’s what makes them so believable and entertaining to watch. Paul is the serious one of the group and has a crush on Karen who is the cute goody-goody. Bert is the joker and Marcy and Jeff are the couple constantly having sex and making out. Rider Strong is great in this movie as he plays the good guy slowly turning into a merciless murderer and James DeBello is unbelievably entertaining as the jerky guy. The other three are impressive too, however the town folk aren’t exactly the best you’ve ever seen.
The movie’s gore is extremely high and some scenes are sure to make you turn your head in disgust. But that’s what Cabin Fever is. A movie to make you feel sick and not care about the seriousness of the story. It’s all for fun and that’s what Cabin Fever succeeds in.
While not very scary at all for a majority of people, it is however very jumpy and will even make those who are hard to scare jump at points. The gore is what makes it a horror though and if you’re looking for a truly frightening experience then look elsewhere. Cabin Fever is an immature, entertaining, jumpy gross fest. And that’s why it’s so damn good.

Not sure why she was only crying and not screaming in pain, though. I'm sure it would hurt quite a bit!
