We were definitely amongst the youngest there by choice, though. My girlfriend is writing a dissertation on politics in music, so this was good research, even if the only seats we could afford were restricted viewing. Most of the audience were over 50, and the young ones all looked like stuck-up toffs. We're from Essex, kappisch? The venue is really nice too. Every floor has a bar and restaurant, and the seats were very comfy. The music wasn't my bag, but when performed along with the sining, sets and characters, etc., it works really well.
In fact, I'd go as far as recommending this particular Opera to anyone that wants a different night out in London. Funny, and the plot was interesting enough to follow. It's only on until the 20th of this month, and the next 'interpretation' may not be the same - it was written in the 30's, but contemporised to the 80's. What-what.
> Yeah, she drowned!
Even better!!
