It's my girlfriend's birthday on thursday and I don't know what to do in the way of a present - I'm not good with gifts you see. I'm taking her out in the evening but I don't have a clue what to buy her!

Well my ex wouldnt fall into any of those catergories, she was quite grounded but not very girly, she certainly wasnt a ladette, quite business-like.
those are the 4 likely.we could put ho or anti social nerd but i illiminated those categories for decency's sake.

Bit of a ladette: similar maybe drifting into some random girly items those useless items we have no comprehension of why they buy em

girly: they don't desire normal functional stuff. teddies, flowers chocolates the order of the day.
