A joint console between Sony and Nintendo would benefit the consumer. With their combined knowledge, hardware, and finances, they could make a super console which would have a vast array of great games. They could also explore new methods of gaming.
It would benefit the two companies, as all competition would be gone, and profits would increase.
Okay, so a few people may lose their old jobs. But with new sectors brought into play after the merger, many of these jobs would be re-allocated.
Sega would be out of buisness, but have a relatively small workforce, much of which could be re-homed at Sontendo.
You can see that this would also create a community of users, not a mass of arguments.
Okay, so some people may think one console could become boring, so why couldn't Sontendo make two consoles, each with different controllers, a different shape, different rumble abilities etc. but still play the same games.
This could certainly be the first step towards the future of gaming

Any how, isn't the idea of everyone working together in a big friendly world Communist? I much prefer having companies being gready, and therefore having to make the best games to make a profit!
That would be bad.
