I really wanna get a PS2 but I simply cannot afford it, and even if I could, I would not pay that much for it. I will probably end up getting a PSone or a Dreamcast instead, coz that IS value for money.
What do U think?

I dont think people got ripped off with buying Z.O.E as its a fun game and maybe a bit repeative but the action is there which makes you want to play it. The demo maybe a incentive to get the game but when you play Z.O.E you wont regret it. I havent played the demo much. I had a faulty demo but it was replaced today. I have only played the demo through just the once.
Maybe Quake 3 is out on other platforms. DC, isnt as good as the PS2 version. The controls on it are rubbish as the DC controller isnt designed with 2 analouge sticks so makes it very hard to use. PC is a very good version as you get add ons which you can buy and get maps and skins from the Net. But to run it you need a PC which will cost more than a PS2 and will need upgrading to play all the new games. PS2 has a great version of Quake 3 with new weapons new levels and new game play modes. It runs smooth looks good and plays good. The reviews I have read say it bets the PC verison on everything apart from its control. But the control is the same as Timesplitters and the game takes into account of a little less accurate aiming and using damage zones. Which means if you dont quite hit the target it still damages it. I have the version on the PC and would be quite tempted to buy the PS2 version, but with exams and other new games I have got, I would have very little time to play on it, as once you play you will not want to stop.
But from what it looks like Sony are trying to aim the PS2 at the older generation. After a brief scanning thru the SR mag it shows that there are a bigger percentage of 'older games' than there are 'younger games'.
Maybe Sony should bring out a cheaper 'none DVD' console. Actually thats a bad idea because future DVD playstation games wont run, neither will the completely excellent demo disks you get free with PS2 mags!!!

We've all heard the expressiong "value

RBS, what exactly are the "best games of the decade" you'tre talking about?
Please tell me the names of games that i can go out and buy TODAY, that are some of the best of the decade.

If that is true, then how come people had problems with their launch machines, having to get Sony to send out replacements?
It is a really great piece of Hardware to have, and Sony do make a loss out of every unit as it has not been rushed - it has been built properly and how it shows!
I was lucky enough to have one on launch day, but I was not here that day! I had to go and get it at the Parcel Force Office, but once I got it back and set it up, it played wonderfully! It takes a bit of time to work out how to play the PS2 properly, but it is worth the money!
The bottom line is that Sony do not make money on the Consoles, but they make money on the Games!!!
