Remember when you first played Zelda: The Ocarina of Time, or the first time you played a Final Fantasy? Well if you're like me then you probably felt the feeling of being reborn and refreshed. I remember recently playing the former and Advance Wars, and I still got the same feeling. But nowadays, I don't think many games leave me with the same feeling. Bar Kingdom Hearts and the Wind Waker. But they too have come out quite a while ago.
I don't know what it is. Could it be because games these days are revolved more around darkness and evil than previous installments? Could it just be that developers are losing their touch? It's not just games either, it's video game magezines as well.
I used to feel like there were literally butterflies flying around in my stomache as I read through many previews. But now it feels as if someone's taunting me with games. Making me look foward to them, and I obey them.
Anyone else get these feelings? Or know what I mean? I am so confused!

Get Resident Evil 4. Just purchased it before and it's giving me that very same feeling.
It's like driving a 2.3 litre Trimuph Rocket III motorbike for a year and then reverting to a 100cc Peugeot moped. You tried the best and now nothing can max it. Either that or they've ran out of ideas.
