What's up with club nicknames, seriously look

Man united - red devils, the ultimate evil, and the devil is pretty bad too
Newcastle - The magpies, the theiving ba**ard of all birds
Arsenal - As in weaponry
Chelsea - Blues - as in misery and depression
Everton- toffeemen, that's a cruel nickname for a fat team.
Aston villa- Villans, are you seeing a pattern
Charlton- the addicks there is nothing good about being a adict.
Spurs- the spikes cowboys use to kick horses with.

And they are just the ones i can think of.

They do look evil.
