i got a Pentium 2 233Mhz, 160 MB Ram, 4GB HDD with win98SE
u think its ok to put xp on this system? its my brothers and i hate 98SE..
any ideas?

No chance. The lowest I managed to get XP to run in a stable fashion, albeit slow, was P3 450Mhz 128MB 10GB HDD. I do have a friend who does run it on a P2 with 256MB and 2x6GB HDD (one for OS other for apps) but it's slow, very slow, and very unstable.
XP requires about 2GB of disk space to install & 163MB RAM to run happily (just the OS). Youd probably be better going with either a new PC or W2K

no way not with a 233 processor, I would recommend the minimum of 1GHZ for running XP on, and you really need a bigger hard drive
