Admittedly, I've often wondered what it would have been like if I was born a girl, but I don't think I'd ever go to the extreme of having a sex change.

Sex changes are about far more than "wanting what the others' got". It is a complex mix of emotions and wanting to project on the outside what you are feeling on the inside, to have a matching emotional/mental identity and identity your body projects to yourself and others. I have no problem with sex changes as long as the person is counselled first to cope with the enormous change in their life. As for honesty with others, well thats entirely up to the person themselves. It's their business and nobody elses.
