Did you ever watch 'Goodnight Sweetheart'? If so you will remember that the guy used to take items from the future back and show them off in around 1940's like songs and such!
Well here is the theory! BILL GATES I believe is not that a bright man to invent something that good, so I believe he found a portal that took him back to 1980's will all that malraky was being invented by some decent human being and he killed him, thats right murdered him to steal his idea!
So then he travels back to mid 1990's and takes the guys name Bill Gates and pretends he is god and made this genisus where all he does these days is wipe egg off his jacket because he has hired people to do work!
He makes me sick! :D - Who says I am insane :)

the sad thing is that half of your theory is true, Bill Gates did steal his original ideas from another company, that is why in 98 he lost so much of his fortune, you aren't insane, Microsoft are S... and they always have been, I don't say that forno reason, I say that because there are to many reasons.
except gates went to harvard, so was quite a genius of his time!
