The rule we have is that if people can't work out what it means then it will have to be removed to avoid confusion.

It roughly tallies up with the total of the numbers in brackets on the UKdiscussions home page. Actually "Discuss" would not fit in the space available so we used the number of posts instead.

I like it - others don't. Will it survive? I dunno.

I'm worried. I only see 643... where did the others go...?

Twice, once when it was 643 and once when it was 653, because the fluctuations were 'interesting'.

It just took me back to the discussions main page. Both times. I have another theory that the number may be the number of posts in the last 24 hours (rolling total), but I can't stay awake that long to prove it.

*Grix is still lieing in his sleeping bag just in front of the link nibbling his dogbone. RBS comes in and puts down a nowl of water*

*FM ponders the meaning of the numbers 643, 653 and 663. He gets out the graphics calculator and ponders a bit more.*

Theory: When the number gets to 1013, the world will end.

*FM goes off to check his theory and gather some empirical evidence, taking a sip of RBS' coffee on the way....*
