I think instead of focusing on the very few bad points of this programme, we should concentrate on the moments of sheer genius which are hilarious every time you see it.
One of my favourite moments is where Homer and Marge go round Apu's house and Apu asks Homer which his favourite Indian pop star is. He puts an LP on and it sounds like stereotypical indian music, but when he slows it down it's like Frank Sinatra.

That episode was a scream. Especially the second half of it, when the lemon tree was taken back to Springfield. And the bit at the very end where the Shelbyville kids started drinking turnip juice was just hilarious.
