My parents are constant nagging me to do something for them on the pc, just because they find it hard just to turn the damn things on. It wasn't that bad a few days ago when i was always downstairs on the PC, but now i've built my own i'm always upstairs meaning i'm constantly going up and down sorting out their petit problems. I've learnt from trial and error with alot of my stuff to do with computers (building them, not included) but there is no way they'd spend as long as i do on computers, anyone know of a quickish solution to this?

My advice- Get them one of those idoits' guides to using computers. They must be quite good, seeing that my mum can make sense out of them, and she can't even use Microsoft Word properly...

9 times out of 10 this doesnt work, and if you are unpatient like me it would start arguments.

When you show them something, make sure they understand WHAT you're doing and WHY you're doing it. Just rushing through, clicking on this and that may get the problem fixed, but they won't remember any of it and will have to ask you again next time.

Let THEM do it and talk them through it, so next time they remember what THEY did, they're not second guessing what they thought they saw you did.
