No, by what I mean is they'll have a mobile number to sell on to spammers now. THEY might not send spam, the people they send it on to might. Regardless what's said on the site, there is always a legal loophole.
A rep of our company used one a few months back (wasn't this site) and he was getting approx 10+ a day spam messages.
10p to send a sms. How is a site offering the service free making money? It's slightly cheaper than generating random numbers ;)
