To be honest I dunno, never tried.
Version 0.3 I think you could, so hopefully the functionality's still there.
Just one final question before I start downloading it all: Can I set up MTA for use over a non-internet-connected LAN?
Cheers.

Mafia is an amazing game. Excellent storyline, amazing (for the time) graphics, It sucked me in and didn't let go. Only thing, it's a little pedestrian, but since I was smoking at the time, it didn't bother me at all.
The ending was.. "Whuuuuuu? What.....?"
Storytelling at it's finest, and the closest a game can get to a movie.
One of the only games to keep me playing past the finish, with it's rocketcar extras.
And it's not true crime, while entertaining ,comes across as a Michael Bay flick

I heard the conversion was pants, but I honestly believe Mafia is leagues ahead of anything the GTA games have produced. Excellent setting, amazing story, great voice acting, lots of varied missions, the game is just spoiled by it being too darned short.
Certainly some aspects are flawed, the shooty section are a little annoying at times but I even enjoyed them more than Grand Theft Auto's action sequences.
I just hope the sequel lives up to it.

I tried downloading Multi Theft Auto once but couldn't seem to get it working. Just came up with a window full of weird options. I may have downloaded the wrong bit though, client instead of server or something. Do you have a reliable download link handy?

San Andreas certainly doesn't manage to convey the atmosphere of early 90's West Coast America as well as Vice City managed to do with 80's Miami.
Yet to play San Andreas yet, but I think the place and time setting of Vice City will be hard to beat.
