"Forca" a song by zany canadian nelly furtado has been chosen as the official song of euro 2004. Probably due to us all thinking she was in fact portuguese.
As a result expect your ears to quite possibly be bombarded by it in the summer.
Aparently she will sing it at the opening ceremony at the stadium of light. Presumably through some obscure love of sunderland! ;-)
Don't want to get anyone excited, but........less than 2 months to go!

no you don't say, i'm really glad you pointed that out, as i was of course completely oblivious to this fact, and had never heard of it before or seen about 10 million hype programes about it, and o look when i wrote it i accidentally slipped and happened to hit the shape of a smiley face, what an unbelievable coincidence. Good thing you pointed it out........ yes ..good thing.

'The Stadfium of Light' is the English name of the main stadium in Portugal, 'El Estadio du Luz', you wally. :P
