or you could just kill it. How you ask? leave the cot by the oven, and leave the oven on maximum all night. it will die. :-) proble solved.
Just neglect it and get social services to come round to much hassle those babys if you ask me.

Well kinda. It just changes from baby to a child. After that it never changes.
