Arsenal? well, couldn't score in a brothel comes to mind!
Wes Brown was superb today and hats off to him and the defence. The young player's ala Fletcher, Ronaldo, O'Shea stood up to the occaision against the big guns of Arsenal.
Fantastic game which was end to end and the quality of both teams was on show. Without Van Nistlerooy it needed a great team performance to beat Arsenal and that's what we got.
Gooner's, well what can I say but.............
Suck.
On.
That.

I'd pick Clichy ahead of A.Cole any day. He's far more reliable defensively from what I've seen of him. How Cole gets any time in that Arsenal team at all I don't know.
Scholesy's goal... It was just "one of those", y'know?
The build-up was well-done; Arsenal's "unbreakable" defence left-all-over-the-place... And there was Mr. "can't-score-for-England" to thump it in. :)
But, Jens Lehmann... Which ball was he diving for?! ;D
Shoving Cristiano Ronaldo over, like he did, was completely un-called-for. I am a little surprise the ref' didn't also take action against our winger, also, for his part in throwing the ball away (although, I guess it could've been an unintentional thing, given the fact he was randomly shoved-over by a German).
Dennis Bergkamp - of ALL the Arsenal players... I'd have never expected a player of such a high-profile and class to have tried the old "kick the defenders foot" trick - which seems to be catching on... - as he looked in desperation for an Arsenal spot-kick. I love this game! :)
Yes, I do feel Gary Neville was a little "Vieira-like" in the way he reacted to Pires' retaliation hiss and cat-scratch, but, well... It's about time even ONE Gooner finally got done for it! :P
And, Roy Carrol... Will we ever need Tim Howard again, with the form he's been on lately?!? :o
The defence itself, once again, looked quite strong and rather reliable, infact, for a team looking increasingly "empty" in a number of areas, these days. Maybe Brown's back to full fitness? Perhaps Sunday's game was a real 'wake-up call' for Mikael Silvestre? Who really knows...
At the end of the day [God, I sound like Henry, saying that! :S ], we beat Arsenal. At the end of the season, they're only destined to finish with just the one trophy again, now their Double hopes have been destroyed. What? Don't tell me you really think Arsenal stand a chance of going all-the-way in Europe, do you???
Chelsea now have an even greater chance for the mid-week game.
If we can beat them, at half-strength - while they're almost full - who's to say The Blues can't?! :D
