Saha: Henry has edge over Van Nistelrooy
Manchester United's new forward Louis Saha claims his team-mate Ruud Van Nistelrooy is not as complete a player as his Arsenal rival Thierry Henry.
Saha, speaking three days before United take on Arsenal in an FA Cup semi-final which represents their last chance of any silverware this season, believes van Nistelrooy falls short of Henry's standard in several areas.
Former Fulham forward Saha argues Henry scores over van Nistelrooy particularly when it comes to experience and the ability to find the net from distance. He said: "Ruud lacks big-match experience. He has never played in major finals, either with United or with Holland, and he needs to gain experience at the highest level."
Saha continued: "Thierry is far more experienced. He has played in the finals of the World Cup, Euro 2000 and Confederation Cup and he is battle-hardened. He knows how to approach games like these."
Saha, a £12.8million transfer-window signing, is cup-tied for Saturday's match at Villa Park.
But he has seen enough already in his short time at Old Trafford to be fairly confident Henry is much more likely than van Nistelrooy to score a spectacular winner this weekend.
"Ruud never scores from outside the 18-yard area and never takes free-kicks. It is very rare to see him trying his luck from distance," he said.
"Ruud doesn't take much of a part in the team's collective play. His game is all about finishing."

They are all prone to saying - or doing - some very stupid things, at times. Everybody knows who Nicolas Anelka is (and, I very much doubt it's for his 'talent' either...).
But, what a way to set things up for Saturday - knocking possibly our one-and-only hope of any kind of success in tommorow's game [yes, I know this is several days old]!
Then again, if Ruud wants to fight-back in any kind of way, at least he's the one who'll be playing in the Big Match [fitness-pending] while the £12m No.9 sits this one out, cup-tied! ;)
It's getting as boring as the Chelsea talk or like watching a Liverpool game.......ok maybe not that boring.
Looks like a bit of Fergie is rubbing off on Saha (nice to see it's not a football boot :-)
> So he's saying RVN isn't as good as Thierry Henry because he's French,
> eh?

Ahaha. You've never spoken a more true word, Azul.
Well, maybe you have. I have a poor memory.
Either that or he has his eyes open.
Or has a smidgeon of sense.
Or isn't retarded.
