Not a rip off of Sam Fisher at all

Sam lay still on his stomach, in the muddy terrain of outback Thailand, clutching his rifle close to his eye surveying his surroundings. He knew there was a Japanese sniper to his left, hidden in the palm trees somewhere, and a distinct possibility that there was one on his right too, hiding, watching, waiting.

What was that?

He saw some movement on his right, and immediately drew his gun round to face it, and with a flash and a bang a Japanese BNI agent fell to the ground in a bundle.

One down one left out there

He re-checked the terrain but still could not scope his second target. He put his rifle down to his side and picked up his machine gun. Just at that sight movement, a bullet flew right past him and landed in the ground next to him. They had him targeted and one thing was for sure, they wouldn’t let him out their sight.

He got to his feet and started running, he didn’t know where but he had to lost the Sniper’s sight. He heard another shot go off and he immediately hit the ground.

Phew

It had missed him and he scrambled back up to his feet, slipping in the wet but managing to keep his feet. He saw a group of bushes and headed straight for them.

Have I lost him? Is he following me?

He fell to his stomach in the bush and took out his sniper rifle again, once again checking the surroundings for his pursuer. The fact that he couldn’t see or hear him, made Sam presume that his target was not following. But his SAS training had taught him never to assume anything until he knew it was true. With the distance new scoped rifles could view, he couldn’t be same until he knew the Jap had a bullet firmly lodged in his skull.

There he is!

In an instant Sam Swimmer had placed that bullet firmly in the Jap’s head. This was why he was the best secret agent Britain had ever had. His bald headed enemy had come in from the back, and Sam had rolled to his side and given him one straight in the forehead.

Heyhey, not bad!

He could see the funny side now, but he knew that if he was to pull this off, he would need to be a lot more careful, than to allow himself to be sneaked up upon like that.

He had one last check of the environment before jumping to his feet and checking his compass. That chase had sent him entirely off route, he was heading east currently, he wanted to be going west, towards ‘Le Chateau du Royale’, the home of the evil Japanese combat lord, Lord Vipere.

He took a swig from his snake skin flask, before re-attaching it to his belt and setting himself back on track, heading west.

It was a supremely hot day, temperatures over forty degrees and Sam was sweltering.

Good job I packed those extra three litres of water!

He did a quick calculation in his head, another two or so miles and he would be entering dangerous areas, with the Lord’s guards patrolling. There would also be the snipers in the trees, scanning the area for any possible intruders.

He would have to be careful, he has passed the first of many hurdles, but it was perhaps the easiest…
