I'm sure that most of you have all have joined the dvd craze, i know i have, but that is not what I'm here to talk about, oh no I'm here to talk aobut why video can never die. If you were all to try and remember the best time of your life it would involve watching a video of some sort. How can we ever forget such a fantastic way to pass time. I'm not sure if it's the bulky 80's look to it or the great acting in the priate video warning clips, but there is something about video that will keep in my heart forever. When I was a young boy about 8 or 9 years ago, it was seen as a treat to get in the car and go down to the video rental shop in Crowthorne to spend over half an hour just picking out a video to watch. That was one of the best parts, where you were picking out the video. Well we finally managed to get one that was to all our liking and put it in the video, but we would have to wait another five minutes to see the previews because the person who rented it out before thought it was funny not to rewind the video. Well it's rewound now and here comes the best bit of video's, the previews. They are like tiny films in themselves which in some cases are much better than the film itself. But that's not the best part of them, what made videos even better was that they would contain previews for films that no one had even herd of. I'm sure you all know the ones, they're the ones that went straight onto video as no one would have even considered watching it at the cinema. And while you are watching these previews you are making up a small list of what to rent out the next time you visit the video rental shop in Crowthorne. Don't think that that's all there was to the video, oh no, to top it all off there is the poor quality of them. Weather the sounds warped or there is a fuzzy line in the middle of the screen, these are what made videos worth watching for me. Who wants to have perfect clear quality like you get on dvd, not me, give me fuzzy lines with a green pricture in the top right hand corner of the scren any day. So I will continue to watch video until i'm old and blind because it might be that I don't know any better, or the fact that they are brilliant pieces of history that have influenced everyones life in one way or another.
