Where exactly is the former "Worlds Most Evil Man" Saddam Hussein?
We saw him get yanked from the hole (thankfully somebody had a video camera with mounted-light to record it) but then?......

Nothing. Nothing in the news anywhere. He's just gone.
So considering we saved the world from terror (ignore Madrid though) by capturing this evil tyrant, you'd think he'd feature somewhere, no?

Bell - feel free to use your secret inside-sources to explain where he is and what's happening.

I'll second that.

I'd figured it was possible they delayed taking him in, just monitoring his movements, until a politically advantageous time, but after the whole Jessica Lynch thing you never know how far they could go...

On a side-note... has anyone noticed Rumsfeld's resemblance to Skeletor?

I agree 100% and said a similar thing before this all kicked off, although I thought it was more likely they wouldn't capture him, or he'd die in the attempt.

Simply because he has too much knowledge that would embarass, discredit the shining torch of democracy were he allowed to make statements. Which is why there'll never be an open trial in The Hague or similar, because too much information would be revealed by him that would cast Britain & The USA in a less-than-glowing light.

"What? You mean you knew about the Halabja gassings yet did nothing except increase his credit line with the World Bank?"
"...er....Dubya, you wanna take this one?"
"Naw Tony, this is bee-yond me"
"...er..."
"And you mean to say that you supported him in his brutal regime and Donald Rumsfeld met him in Washington in the mid eighties, at the height of his atrocities to discuss further funding and training against Iran?"
"...ah...."

I'm not surprised, I was just amazed that a media blackout would be so widely and unanimously accepted. You'd think even the commie papers and evil smoking BBC would be saying "So, Hussein"...
But nothing.

Just as all the news about the innocent Brits returning home, the bugging of the UN etc has been swept underneath the carpet, replaced with "YOU'RE NEXT!!!! DIE!!!! ASYLUM MUSLIM TERRORDEATH!!!" headlines.

I said this ages ago and got laughed at, Saddam would still have a lot of power over Bush and Blair if he was allowed to make statements to the media - Bush probably rued the day he was captured alive, and I am convinced he has been executed already.

More chance of him just falling out the sky than US intelligence managing to keep that one under wraps.

Could be true, but I doubt the soldiers involved could have kept information that special secret for so long.

Did anyone hear the somewhat paranoid (but, if true, somewhat plausible)theory mentioned in the Telegraph? Y'know the picture that was supposedly of Saddam being dragged out of his hole? There are some trees flowering in the background. Basically, those trees only flower in a couple of months of the year in that part of the world. And those months were some time before the announcement of Saddams capture. Essentially the implication was that he'd been caught long before the US said he was, and the news was released when Dubya needed a popularity boost.

Can't say as I'm remotely convinced, but it's an interesting one.
