The reason I am doing this is as follows;
Belldandy always, but always, hurls personal insults at whomever he feels is beating him in a debate; hence Timmargh has been called a waster for being wheelchairbound and using cannabis to ease the pain of his medical condition, I've had the proverbial taken out of me for losing my job as a solicitor many moons ago, Sheepy is called a retard, Goatboy is insulted for having an uncle who died in the 9/11 attacks....well, you get the picture.
Now, I'm the first to admit that none of these petty and pathetic digs of his actually hit home. However, it struck me that no-one has ever descended to Bell's level to see how he deals with his own playground abuse. And so, for that reason alone, I decided to pick a weak and childish set of insults (his weight) and run with it to see how he reacts. Surprise surprise, he gets upset and angry, yet he refuses to accept that the insults he hurls are in any way the same, continues to throw them at all and sundry, whilst wailing in despair that anyone would dare to do the same to him. Hence his attempts to take the moral high ground fall rather flat.
So, I hope you'll understand why I'm doing what I'm doing. If you still choose to think less of me...well, that's your prerogative, and at least you'll be doing so in possession of the facts.

He's done so on many occasions. Admittedly, he's not very good at it, but there y'go. I did have a vague idea that tearing into him using personal insults would maybe help him empathise with just why it's an unpleasant thing to do to someone. Alas, he seems to think he has carte blanche to do what he wants whilst being left entirely alone himself.

But then again, I've not seen Bell really do the same thing himself (actual personal insults, going beyond 'strong' disagreement in arguments). If he has I guess it puts a different slant on things...

Until recently I didn't mind Belldandy.
Yes I didn't agree with him but I thought he was a half decent member of the forums. And on some occasions I even stuck up for him when I thought people were simply bullying him.
However, I've come to realise he sucks and it's his own fault.

I'll address Bell's comment in the thread it was made, but basically, I'm picking on Bell's appearence and being horribly personal because, well, I thought I'd show him exactly what it feels like to have insults thrown his way. He's made a habit of insulting others. I thought I'd see whether my suspicion that he can give it but not take it was correct. And it was.
