"Telewest + Blueyonder + Broadband = Slow"

I've spoke to loads of my mate who have blueyonder broadband and we have come to a decision that Blueyonder Broadband sucks. I haven't got 1MB or 2MB but it should still beable to load up pages before 20 seconds, im thinking of "Going Back To BT". Anyone got the same problem, if so please join me while i curse Telewest harshly.

It's pretty fast but it depends on where the site is located.. i don't use IE i might aswell add.

It can all depend on the page. Some pages take a few seconds others take 10 or so, due to the website actually not being able to send you maximum data all the time. One thing that can cure this is to use the proxy server(webcache) that Telewest and Blueyonder should provide.

Webcache is a service on the ISP that stores recent websites. So if you want a website that it has then you recieve the website from the webcache server, which can speed up pages. One page in my experience took 12 seconds to load, with webcache enabled it took less than 4 seconds. Some pages seemed delayed with webcache, so its not always a win win situation.

I'm on 512K BT Broadband and sometimes it takes me 20+ secs to load up a page. The net can be slow at times. It can't really be your ISP who's slowing you down.

Are you using ADSL or cable?
