Wanting to switch my system to a new 7.1/DTS/Pro Logic 2 system within the next few weeks. I currently have a 5.1 system which has a DTS decoder but am looking for something of top of the range quality. Money isn't an object up to £600 but I'm not really prepared to go over that. Any point in the right direction to a system or site would be appreciated.

well like I say, I know of one friend who recently bought a full cinema system, and after deciding on what hardware he wanted, he found it was actually cheaper to buy from the shop, rather than on e-bay or other sites.

Ye I did that first time round but was hoping someone who had a good system could point me towards a site selling them.
or perhaps pop into a few dedicated hi-fi shops in your local town, and get them to tailor your system to requirements. we've got a couple of great stores in preston.
do plenty of research is the only advice I can give. What HiFi is a good magazine for comparing modern systems and separates. you want to make sure you get the best available when you're forking out that much money.
I am willing to mix and match stuff and am willing to look at stuff people post. I will buy it on credit anyway so I could go up further.
My mate just bought a bogs dollox system, but the decoder was about £800, so it's a bit over your budget.
